ANALYTICAL RAMAN SPECTROSCOPY
The course will provide an overview of modern Raman spectroscopy beginning with an introduction to Raman scattering and the differences between IR and Raman spectra. It will include discussion of sampling, calibration, data analysis methods (pre-treatments and modeling approaches), and successful application developments. Modern instrument configurations and configuration choices will be covered. The course will include a thorough introduction to the major approaches to sample illumination and spectrum collection, emphasizing fiber optic probes and Raman microprobes. Raman imaging will be briefly discussed. The applicability of and successes with Raman will be surveyed with numerous applications examples. This ½ day course will be split 50 / 50 between a) Raman practical considerations and theory and b) applications. < Back to Workshop List | |||||||||
